MTto MX migration
ISO 20022 delivers a common language and model for exchanging payments data across the globe, provides richer and higher quality information than current messaging standards and better enables future innovation and development in the UK payments ecosystem.
ISO 20022 MX formats will be provided with our new Bankline Direct Digital offering. Bankline Direct Digital will become our default payment and reconciliation solution for customers, designed to provide enhanced payment data and improved reconciliation using ISO 20022 MX formats.
No, you will need to adopt Bankline Direct Digital to use ISO 20022 MX formats.
General payments
When you adopt Bankline Direct Digital to make CHAPS payments in the new ISO 20022 MX format, you will also need to use this format for any other payment types submitted via the same profile. We will provide an update with further information on ending support for other formats when we have plans to do so. These can continue to be used by existing customers for the time being, however, it would be prudent to plan to adopt Bankline Direct Digital for payments by November 2025.
