Job Description
Alight is looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, thought leadership, and a demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to complex problems. The Azure DevOps engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of an organization's IT infrastructure, monitoring the performance of applications, services, and IT processes, troubleshooting production issues, providing metrics on software quality to improve development practices, and improving IT security measures.
TheAZUREDevOps Engineerrole is a technical role in our applications management and support (AMS) team.
Responsibilities:
The individual will be involved in the following critical activities:
- Use Microsoft's Azure DevOps SaaS to manage the projects, collaborate with development and operations teams, build applications, and deploy them in each period.
- Entrusted with leading the creation of processes that oversee code releases and development cycle management.
- Have expertise in Software Development Lifecycle and application development. Apply DevOps methodologies to automate the development and testing process by creating digital pipelines (CI/ CD pipelines).
- Have a deep understanding of the Azure DevOps tools and how they can be used to manage products and ensure continuous delivery of business value at an organization.
- Keep your leadership apprised on the progress, risks in DevOps practice with timely updates, metrics & reports as required.
- Proactively identify DevOps technologies or solutions that differ from current technology stack or represent innovative uses of existing technologies
The ideal experience and critical competencies for the role include the following:
- Flexible, adaptable, and pragmatic with an ability to stay focused on objectives and a can-do-attitude
- Have evident problem-solving skills and strong technical troubleshooting skills
- Expert level experience with DevOps Tools and opensource technologies
- + 3 years of experience developing and implementing infrastructure and applicationsu2019 CI/CD pipeline scripts through Tera Form
- Experience with database objects in relational databases (ex. MS SQL, Oracle) including schema design, stored procedure development and performance and optimization technique.
- Attained Bachelor's degree, demonstrating strong academic credentials in relevant fields (Computer Science, Management Information Services, Computer Information Systems or similar)
