MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (2024)

MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (1)

NO missable achievements. NO online / multiplayer achievements.

It may seem obvious, but this guide is about achievements and achievements only.

I take it for granted, that, if you’re going for 100%, you’re familiar with the basic game concepts. Thus, I will not explain those in this guide. Just a few notes and one-liner at most.

MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (7)Fan of Fading CrimsonA decorative fan that depicts a heroic figure

confronting the ominous crimson glow.

Well, play the main missions of both the village and the gathering hub.

To give you a bit of context for these quests:

  • Complete the tutorial quest in the village.
  • Hunt Mangamalo in the *5 village urgent quest: “Comeuppance”.
  • Hunt Apex Arzuros in the *4 hub urgent quest: “The Blue Apex”.
  • Hunt Ibushi in the *6 hub urgent quest: “Serpent God of Wind”.
  • Hunt Narwa in the *7 hub urgent quest: “Serpent Goddess of Thunder”.
  • Hunt Crimson Glow Valstrax in the *7 hub quest “The Crimson Glow”.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (8)Fan of AscendancyThe mark of a hunter who has attempted some of the toughest quests around

–and won.

Complete all village quests to receive a final one called “The Veteran’s Gala”.

Completing that one will unlock this achievement.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (9)Aspiring Hunter CertificateA souvenir from the Guild for completing many low rank quests.

This should be unlocked by completing all low rank HUB quests.

– Though I’ve read reports, which claim that this also requires all village quests – or simply a certain number of low rank quests, regardless of completing every quest at least once… I’ll sort this out soon.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (10)Fan of True AscendancyMark of a Hunter who has bested Infernal Springs’ most arduous

challenges.

MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (11)Adept Hunter CertificateA souvenir from the Guild for completing many high rank quests.

Complete all hub quests to receive a semi-final quest called “Proof of Power”.

Completing that one will then unlock the actual final quest called “Those Crowned Apex”.

Completing THAT one will unlock both achievements.

Note that you need to be at least HR100 to get access to Crimson Glow Valstrax, which you’ll need to complete, before you can go for the quests above.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (12)Arena Fighter CertificateA souvenier from the Guild for completing many Arena quests.

There are 6 arena quests. You only need to clear them, your rank doesn’t matter.

These quests will be unlocked upon successfully hunting the monsters in their “normal” quests first, either in village or hub:

  • Kulu-Ya-Ku
  • Barroth
  • Royal Ludroth & Nargacuga
  • Barioth
  • Rajang
  • Volvidon & Basarios & Bazelgeuse
ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (13)Spiritwood NecklaceAwarded for completing 50 quests in the Shrine Ruins.

Made from Spiritwood Branches.

MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (14)Frozen Lampsquid EarringAwarded for completing 50 quests in the Frost Islands.

MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (15)Prismatic ChaliceAwarded for completing 50 quests in the Flooded Forest.

Was found buried under rubble.

MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (16)Silver Cactus RingAwarded for completing 50 quests in the Sandy Plains.

A peculiar silver cactus ring.

MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (17)Heliotrope BraceletAwarded for completing 50 quests in the Lava Caverns.

Glitters a red-blue mélange.

Written right there in the descriptions. Complete 50 quests each in all 5 main maps of MH Rise.

And yes, joining others through SOS does count.

Expeditions do NOT seem to count, even if a large monster was hunted successfully. I’ll confirm this soon.

Even so, ignore these achievements. I guarantee you’ll unlock them naturally while going for all the other achievements, like 1000 large monsters in total and all gold crowns…

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (18)Rampage Nemesis CertificateA souvenir from the Guild for completing many Rampage quests.

Complete 50 rampage quests. Check your progress on this on your ingame guild card.

As for the quests above: Joining rampages through SOS does count.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (19)Wreath of HonorA wreath received from the villagers

as thanks for taking on their many requests.

This one has caused a lot of confusion on the internet.

You do NOT need to complete any villager “requests” for this one, even though the descriptions suggests so. (But if you want to do those, check the last chapter of this guide, where I’ve linked a video for the sake of thoroughness.)

You need to complete 100 of the “Optional Subquests”, which you can register through Hinoa & Minoto.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (20)Dreadnought Destroyer PlaqueHunt 1000 large monsters.

Okay, there are a few things to be said about this one.

First: YES, captured monsters DO count!

Second: Monsters in rampages do NOT count for this, except for the quest target at the end.

Third: Where to check your progress? There’s a certain inconsistency in your guild card.

On page 2/7 of your guild card, you’ll see a counter for “Slain” monsters and a counter for “Captured”. The slain counter does NOT already include the captured counter.

On page 7/7 of your guild card, you’ll see a counter for “Hunted” and a counter for “Captured” for each individual monster. The hunted counter DOES already include the captured counter.

-> This means: The SUM for slain and captured on page 2 is your actual progress towards the achievement.

Fourth: You’ll need to hunt every monster at least 10 times as a requirement for another achievement (“Sturdy Padlock”), except for the final boss Narwa, the Allmother. Although Thunder Serpant Narwa IS required 10 times.

(Also, if you’re reaaally patient, I recommend to ignore this achievement altogether, until the massive “Sunbreak” DLC launches later this year.)

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (21)Extravagant CashboxAwarded for earning 1,000,000 zenny.

Heavy with impressively intricate goldwork.

MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (22)Well-worn CashboxAwarded for accumulating 100,000 Kamura Points.

Gleams with polish despite great use.

These two will happen while you go for 1000 hunted monsters. You do NOT need to own the required amounts at once. You just need to have earned them all throughout your playtime.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (23)Seasoned Jockey PlaqueAwarded for riding many different monsters.

Reading this one’s description, one might think it would be required to actually wyvern ride many / all monsters.

In reality though, you only need to do it often. People unlocked this while still being in Low Rank, way before getting access to a bunch of monsters.

Currently believed is 100 times. I’ll actually count my progress and update this part with confirmed information soon.

Either way, this is entirely impossible to miss on your way to 1000 hunted monsters, so you can just ignore this on as well.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (24)Kamura PinwheelAwarded for performing 1000 Wiredashes.

Spins smoothly in the wind.

This is such an integral new mechanic to the game, it’ll unlock in no time at all. You’ll see.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (25)Great Wirebug PlateAwarded for discovering many Great Wirebug launch points.

Sports a nice relevant design.

You not only need to discover the launch points – at which point they are called “Jewel Lilies” -, you’ll also need to actually assign Great Wirebugs to them and then actually USE them once. Note, that some of them need to be actived mid-air, at the end of another Wirebug’s trajection.

But before that, you need to complete Senior Hunter Hanenaga’s (NPC in the village) requests, so that he starts giving you Great Wirebugs.

Once you have a few of those, go on an expedition, open your map and filter for the white pointer icons. Those are the unassigned locations, as assigning them a Great Wirebug colors them orange+yellow.

You will get exactly as many Great Wirebugs as you can assign on all maps. So if you still have some left, you missed a few spots.

Note that your map will only show the unassigned spots on your current layer though, so check each layer of the map.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (26)Hunting Helpers PlateAwarded for gathering 500 Hunting Helpers.

Features a beautiful depiction of them.

As with the achievement just below, this could unlock naturally for you, if the hunting helpers happen to be a part of your playstyle.

But if they aren’t, there’s a reaaal easy method to do this. Check out this on-point video by Dugarr:

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (27)Golden Spiribug PlateAwarded for gathering 1000 golden and gilded spiribugs.

Shines much like they do.

This one is kinda annoying. Depending on your way of playing, you might actually unlock this naturally, while going for all other achievements (looking at those 1000 hunted monsters, yet again).

But you might also collect barely any of them…

Don’t be too afraid though, since there’s a solid route to collect them quite efficiently (albeit way slower than the method for the achievement above).

Here’s a full video of a ~3min run to collect ~30ish of them, by EternalHazard:

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (28)Deft-hand RodAwarded for catching many fish.

Feels familiar in your hands. One cast, one catch!

You need to catch all of the fish listed below by actually fishing them during a quest or expedition. Obtaining them via the Argosy or whatever does NOT count.

And yes, you DO need to catch each version individually. So 1 Whetfish AND 1 Great Whetfish, for example.

You do NOT need the “Armored Bream” and “Springnight Carp”, which are only obtainable through the Argosy.

For a quick check which you might be missing, use the “Motley Mix” at the canteen to see, which of the fish below you neither own nor have turned in before:

Here’s a full overview of their locations (which might still be missing a few spots):

And if you’d like a video guide for this (which only shows 1 spot per fish, but still works), watch this one by Gaming with Abyss – (timestamps in video description):

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (32)Shabby Canyne SaddleAwarded for riding Canynes many times.

Worn in odd places from countless voyages.

You need to spend a total of 10 hours while sitting on your palamute.

Since riding a palamute during a mission allows you to move faster than by yourself, you might unlock this naturally while going for 1000 hunted monsters / all gold crowns. But if you don’t wanna wait on this one, just hop onto your palamute back in the village and go afk.

This one does not unlock WHILE riding your palamute, but mounting it anew, leaving the area or completing a quest will do the trick.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (33)Palamute Gear Tune-up KitAwarded for collecting all Palamute Gear.

Daily maintenance is what will make it last!

You’ll unlock new Palamute gear by completing the 6 villager requests with “Palamute” in their names.

  • Assist
  • Fight
  • Bombardier
  • Gathering
ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (37)Antique BookmarkAwarded for finding many Old Messages.

Adorned with a tasteful pattern.

There are 12 old messages, also called relic records, in total. 12 each for all 5 main maps.

Since these can be tricky to find, check this video by Team Darkside for help:

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (38)Beat-up Construction KitAwarded for unlocking lots of camps.

Each of its nicks and grooves tells a story.

Youll first need to discover the camping spots. Upon doing so, you’ll receive an on-screen message, that the place you just found would be suitable. Back in the village, you’ll now have access to new requests, which you’ll have to complete, in order to actually have the new camps set up.

Most of them are fairly easy to find, if you actually go for an exploration tour on each map – or by simply checking your map, once you’ve joined another player’s quest, for which that player has already built the camps.

Should you still struggle with this achievement, refer to the following video by Team Darkside:

  • *6: “Do It for the Dango!”
  • *7: “A Quartet of Horns”
  • *7: “Can’t Kill it with Fire”
  • *7: “Seared Situation”

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (42)Luxury Armor StandAwarded for forging many valuable weapons and armor.

Made from premium materials.

You need to craft 5 pieces of rarity 7. Doesn’t matter whether it’s weapons, armor pieces or a mix of them.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (43)Colorful Armor StandAwarded for forging many layered armor.

Its variegated hues are simply captivating.

You need to craft 5 different pieces of layered armor. I’ve read it needs to be at least one per body part, but I have yet to confirm this, which I’ll try to do soon.

But even so, it does NOT need to be all 5 parts of the same set.

You unlock layered armor upon reaching HR8.

Crafting a piece of layered armor requires an “Outfit Voucher” each. You’ll receive 3 of them for free upon unlocking the feature, and have a solid chance for more vouchers as quest rewards in *7 hub quests.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (44)Petalace Arrangement VaseAwarded for obtaining many Petalaces.

It fills rooms with a delightful floral aroma.

Complete the two *7 hub quests: “A Blaze Among Beasts” and “May Fire Quell Fury”. After that, go talk to Fugen the Elder, and this achievements unlocks.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (45)Master’s Black BeltAwarded for obtaining many Switch Skills,

a feat of both mental and bodily discipline.

You need all switch skills for this. There are 3 per weapon type. The requirements of them are:

  • Simply progress through village and hub quests
  • Complete a certain High Rank hub quest, which has the weapon type explicitly in it’s name. Like “Grasp the Great Sword” or “Learn the Long Sword”. These quests are spread over *4 to *6 hub quests.
  • You need to have owned a total of 8 unique weapons per weapon type. Upgrading works for this one. So, for example: Craft 4 different bows, and upgrade each of them once. -> 8 weapons done. Also works with 2 different bows, which you upgrade 3x each, etc pp. Just have 8 different in total.
ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (46)Well-done GrillmeisterAwarded for cooking a well-done steak 30 times.

Good job, and well done!

Well, use your BBQ Spit to cook Raw Meat into Well-done Steaks. Pretty straight-forward.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (47)Five-in-One PlaqueAwarded for hunting 5 monsters in 1 Expedition Tour.

Pretty self-explanatory. You ARE allowed to hunt the same monster more than once for this. I’ve confirmed 5x Arzuros to be working.

ImageAchievementDescription
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (48)Runner’s SandalsAwarded for talking to many of Kamura’s citizens.

Feels like walking on a carpet of cloud.

This includes Palicos and Palamutes!

Super annoying eachievement, since they change positions and are sometimes not available at all.

Here’s a full list:

  • Sekirei

And quite a few notes:

  • First off, some of the NPCs may be in a conversation with each other from time to time. You will only be able to talk to one of them. But there’s a button to cycle through the interactable NPC. It was the Y button on switch, so it should be square on a playstation controller or X on a xbox controller. No idea for PC, sorry.
  • Start by approaching the scroll in your house to talk to the hidden Palico Fugashigi. This might save you some time.
  • Have you talked to Sekirei in the Training Room? A lot of people missed the fella.
  • The 2 drummer palicos – Badum & Tish – in the gathering hub can ONLY be talked to, if the default background music plays. So if you’ve changed the music in your house, you may need to put it back to default.
  • The 2 rice trader – Senari & Suzukari – tend to be especially inconsistent with their availability. Make sure to check the rice sacks between the village entrance and steelworks repeatedly, until you get both of them. Or try your luck by searching for them in the village.
  • Zenichi, the Doctor spends most of his time on some roofs.
  • Kajika usually bathes next to the entrance to your hosue, but sometimes doesn’t.
  • Goka, which is usually next to Canyne Master Inukai is reportedly also not always intaractable with.

MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (49)Mini Crown PlaqueAwarded for registering manyminiature crown-sized monsters.
MONSTER HUNTER RISE – All Achievements Guide + Full Walkthrough (50)Gold Crown PlaqueAwarded for registering many gold crown-sized monsters.

They might be called plaques, but they really are a plague.

All monsters apart from Ibushi and Narwa are required for these two achievements, including the 6 apex monsters.

Probably the easiest way of checking a monster for their size is to lure them into a shock trap, which always forces them into a certain pose. Once that’s done, look where the top of your character’s head is in relation to the monster. This way, you can rather easily check, if a monster is considerable higher or smaller than the previous one.

You do NOT need to finish a quest, after you’ve hunted a gold crown monster. Which can save quite some time in multi-monster quests.

Leaving via “Return from Quest” saves your hunt. Do NOT “Abandon Quest” though!

Once you start farming gold crowns, visit this website: https://mhrise.kiranico.com/data/monsters – [kiranico.com].

In there, select the monster you want to hunt, go to the quest overview and you’ll find confirmed chances for a gold crown to appear, and if a gold size can appear in a given quest at all.

Here’s an overview for all event quests with guaranteed crowns:

  • Confirm, that the achievements for 50 successful quests per map do NOT count expeditions, even if large monsters have been successfully hunted.
  • Confirm, that “Seasoned Jockey Plaque” unlocks for using wyvern ride 100 times, instead of riding all monster types once.
  • Check, if “Colorful Armor Stand” requires one piece per body part, or if it can really be any 5 armor parts.
